The Airbus EC135 is one of the world’s most popular light twin engine helicopters. It was the first new helicopter designed by Airbus (Eurocopter) after the merger of the French and German helicopter manufacturers. The EC135 features a four-blade bearingless rotor system, full-authority digital engine controls (FADEC), rear clamshell loading doors and a quiet Fenestron tail rotor. A new integrated Helionix cockpit was introduced in 2016. The type is now marketed as the H135 and is available with optional Pratt & Whitney Canada PW206B3 or Safran Arrius 2B3.
