The multi-mission Airbus AS350 B3e, powered by the latest Safran Arriel 2D turboshaft, features a dual-channel full authority digital engine control (FADEC), tail rotor modifications, engine data recorder and a crash-resistant fuel system is standard. The AS350 B3 was certified in December 1997, can lift the equivalent of its own weight, and holds several altitude records. In 2014, the AS350 B3e was rebranded as Airbus H125 to avoid any confusion with the Airbus A350 widebody passenger jet. A U.S. production line for the H125 was established at the Airbus plant in Columbus, Mississippi, in 2015.
